Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) Australia

To qualify for skilled migration to Australia, you must nominate an occupation from either the:

Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), or the

Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).

If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa and you are NOT sponsored by a State or Territory, you must nominate an occupation from the MLTSSL. 

If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa and you ARE sponsored by a State or Territory, you can nominate an occupation from either the MLTSSL or the STSOL.

Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) MLTSSL only

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491) Family MLTSSL only

State Sponsored Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190) MLTSSL or STSOL

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491) State MLTSSL or STSOL
