Prospective Marriage Visa (subclass 300)

This visa allows you to enter Australia for the purpose of marrying your prospective spouse and then apply for the Partner visa. Obtaining this visa is the first step towards a temporary Partner visa (subclass 820).

Eligibility:

You must have met your Partner face to face.

• Be 18 years old or older
• Be sponsored by your Partner
• Intend to marry your prospective spouse within 9 months of visa grant

Cost of visa:

Australian Government fee due when the visa is lodged AUD$8,850.00

Apply from:

You must be outside Australia when you apply and when a decision is made on the application.

Processing times:

Currently 10-12 months

Total fee is £1,400.00 paid in 2 stages.

£700.00 Due on lodgement of visa

This is an option for those applicants that are not married, have no evidence of living together for 12 months and are looking to become married.
